She explores why this work is about far more than survival, and how Ukrainian artists are using theatre to defend cultural freedom, identity, and the right to exist.

Howlround: The Wild Provocations of Poland's Divine Comedy Festival 

John Vreeke reports from Krakow’s 2025 Boska Comedia (Divine Comedy) Theatre Festival, which CITD has attended every year since the pandemic. As delegate Shana Cooper puts it, the festival creates a space where “the taboos, the fears” can be brought front and center—raw, exposed, and experienced through the artists onstage.
