This trip makes clear that there is a good deal for Americans and Russians to share through seeing each other’s work, as well as meeting and talking about it. Russia, like America, covers a huge geographic region, including diverse populations, cultures, religions, dialects and languages. The energized activity in the realm of new drama which is coming out of the intense social/political reshuffling of society in Russia seems bound to produce remarkable work in future years, if we’re only beginning to see it’s results currently.
